He portrays George’s unconventional minimalism in dialogue for Max with his physicality, and embodies the character without speaking too much. Tom Hardy as the titular hero Max is a phenomenal casting choice. It’s a very vividly brutal film, and the brutality just feels in place with the plot that he has created for this film. He also focused the film’s entirety on making it as visceral as he could, stabs felt stabby, guts felt gory and gunshots took parts off of people when piercing their bodies. The film has a use of visual effects, that’s for certain but the entirety of the film was shot in real-time including some of the most dangerous stunts and explosive moments.
George Miller poured his soul into this film.
